Acrylic glass (PMMA) is a clear or coloured plastic that is lighter and less brittle than glass. On exhibition stands it is used for logos, display cases, protective covers and illuminated elements.
Acrylic glass, chemically polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), combines the look of glass with the processing advantages of a plastic. It is crystal-clear but can also be used coloured, satin-finished or opal.
In stand construction, acrylic glass is used wherever exhibits need protection or brands are to be presented in a high-quality way: as a display case or protective cover, a brochure holder, a freestanding logo or a backlit element. Because acrylic conducts light well, its edges are suited to subtle lighting effects.
EXFAIR cuts acrylic glass with camera-controlled cutters and CNC technology, for example for acrylic letters, and prints it with UV direct printing. This creates logos and displays that follow the corporate design exactly.
Acrylic glass scratches more easily than glass and should be cleaned with suitable products. Special fire safety rules also apply to plastics at trade fairs. We check these for every show and plan quantity and placement accordingly.
