Modular aluminium profiles form the load-bearing frame of many exhibition stands: walls, frames and structures are plugged and tensioned rather than glued, and can be recombined over many trade fairs.
Aluminium system profiles are the backbone of modular stand construction. Instead of building new walls for every show, frames made of extruded aluminium profiles are plugged, bolted or tensioned together. Fabric graphics, panels or light modules are then fitted to them – the structure stays, the message changes.
Aluminium is light, dimensionally stable and corrosion-resistant thanks to its natural oxide layer. For exhibition stands this means compact transport volume, short build-up times and components that withstand many assembly cycles. At the end of its life, aluminium can be recycled by type; remelting requires only a fraction of the energy needed for primary production.
EXFAIR uses aluminium systems as the basis for system stands and for system-based custom solutions such as light walls, partition walls or meeting rooms. The systems are designed for use over many years. After each use we inspect the modules, replace individual components and store the stand in Villingen-Schwenningen until the next show.
Aluminium systems are particularly worthwhile for exhibitors who attend several trade fairs a year or need different stand sizes. How such a stand is set up ecologically and economically is explained on our page Sustainable exhibition stand.

Aluminium system profiles are modular aluminium frames used to build exhibition stands by plugging and tensioning instead of permanent construction. EXFAIR, based in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, uses these systems as the basis for system stands and system-based custom solutions; they are designed for use over many years and are stored between trade fairs.
