Backlit Fabrics

Backlit Fabrics

Backlit fabrics are translucent textiles for light boxes and light walls. They spread LED light evenly and make backlit motifs glow.

About the material

A light box is only as good as the fabric it illuminates. Backlit fabrics are made specifically for light from behind: they let enough light through to make the motif glow and diffuse it so that no individual LED points are visible.

Print quality

EXFAIR prints backlit fabrics at a resolution of 1,000 dpi. Brilliant colours, high contrast and sharp details are retained even on large areas. The fabrics are cut to the millimetre with a CNC laser and fitted with a silicone edge (SEG) that is pressed into the groove of the frame profile.

Safety

All EXFAIR backlit fabrics are B1-certified, i.e. flame-retardant – a requirement for use at German and Austrian trade fairs.

Replace instead of rebuild

If a graphic is outdated, a new fabric is simply fitted. The aluminium profile and LED technology remain in use. Suitable frame systems are described under LED light boxes and on our page Light boxes.

Advantages in stand construction

  • Even light distribution without visible light spots
  • Printed at 1,000 dpi for sharp detail even in large formats
  • B1-certified (flame-retardant)
  • Tear-resistant and slightly elastic – tensions without creases
  • Motif changes in minutes, the frame stays

Typical uses on the exhibition stand

LED light boxes, light walls, light cubes, backlit counters, ceiling hangings, showroom walls

In brief

Backlit fabrics are translucent printed textiles for backlit frame systems. EXFAIR prints them at 1,000 dpi, cuts them with a CNC laser and uses only B1-certified (flame-retardant) fabrics; graphics can be swapped between two trade fairs without a new frame.
