Eco-friendly exhibition stand solutions with modular systems and recyclable materials
Sustainable exhibition stand construction refers to the planning and realisation of trade fair stands with the goal of minimising resource consumption, waste and CO₂ emissions. At EXFAIR, this means: wood from certified forestry (e.g. FSC), recyclable aluminium carrier systems, solvent-free paints and LED lighting that uses significantly less energy than conventional halogen lighting.
Our sustainable exhibition stands are modular and designed for repeated use: the same core components are reusable for many trade fair appearances — with new graphics, adapted structures and fresh designs. Compared with single-use custom builds, each trade fair appearance becomes noticeably cheaper from the second use, because the system is reused.
Sustainability and brand impact are not a contradiction at EXFAIR: recyclable materials can appear just as premium and brand-strong as conventional ones. Clients can also use sustainably realised stands to document sustainability reports and ESG targets — a growing factor for brands with climate commitments.

Costs and lead time
Sustainably built exhibition stands are usually no more expensive to buy than conventional construction – system stand from €3,500, custom build from €15,000 net. The advantage comes from the second deployment: modular systems are stored and reused instead of being disposed of; a graphics update costs €300–800 instead of a new build. Wood from certified forestry (e.g. FSC) and recycled polyester for fabric prints are usually no more expensive to buy than conventional materials, and we provide the documentation for your sustainability report per project. Lead time as for any stand: 8 weeks for system stands, 16 weeks for custom builds.
