Hamburg Messe at a glance
The leading fairs in Hamburg include SMM (maritime industry, every two years), WindEnergy Hamburg (onshore and offshore wind, every two years), INTERNORGA (hospitality and foodservice, annual) and Aircraft Interiors Expo (aircraft cabins and passenger experience, annually in April). Since 2025, CSI Design Expo Europe for cruise ship interiors has also been held in Hamburg.
What to know about stand building in Hamburg
Under the Technical Guidelines of Hamburg Messe und Congress, stands with a build height of 4.0 m or more require approval; in halls B1 to B4 along the hall walls, this applies from 3.40 m. Multi-storey stands, walk-on platforms above 50 cm and outdoor stands also require approval; documents must be submitted eight weeks before the event. Loads may only be suspended from the hall ceiling by the venue's rigging partner.

Arriving from abroad: From Hamburg Airport (HAM) take S1 and change once – for example at the main station to S2/S5 to Dammtor (Messe/CCH) or at Jungfernstieg to U2 to Messehallen – in about 30 minutes; by taxi about 20 minutes.
